A bit of good new and bad news. Europe's not getting left out of the Wii price cuts Nintendo announced for North America and Japan. The bad news is it doesn't include the UK. Don't blame Nintendo, though.

GamesIndustry reports that the Wii will still carry a GB£ 179 (US$ 285) price tag in the UK even though Nintendo already lowered the console's price for retailers. Play.com, GAME, HMV, and other retailers will still stick to the old price point.

Things are different for the rest of Europe, however, where the Wii has dropped to € 199 (about US$ 290) at retail.

Same Ole Same Ole..

...for the affluent UK. Of course we can afford to pay more than our European (single market?) cousins. Keep it up Ninty, you are now on the same blacklist as Activision (and their experimental UK pricing with Modern Warfare II).. Can I get a "BOOOOOOTTTMIIIII"

£179 + %u20AC194,36

Seems like some people should check there math skills. If those numbers are correct then the europe main land (we) will pay most. Not that I'm complaining, since we still get a price cut. But it is a bit unfair that the US pays almost a third less for the same product.
