Nintendo of Japan has recently uploaded some videos of the Opera browser in action and demonstrates some basic functionality of the browser. At the recent press conferences held by Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime stated that the browser will be downloadable on the Wii store in return for your precious Wii points. However, we have also heard that the browser will be free until September of next year. In an earlier interview with Opera, it was stated that the browser will be packaged with the Wii and that it will be free. As soon as an official statement is said and confirmed we will inform you. If you were wondering, yes the browser does support flash as shown in one of these videos!

» Um...

How the freak does it do any good for us to be free till September when the Wii doesn't launch till November? The only person with a Wii is that blind kid that was on the Ellen show.

Thanks AlphaCananogram for the links to the larger videos. The videos are too small for normal or even huge monitors. Shame on you QJ.
