Wii Linux Homebrew - Image 1Albert "isobel" Herranz and the rest of his development team have released the Wii-Linux Proof of Concept version 0.2.

For those who haven't been keeping up, this essentially shows that a GameCube-Linux distro contained in an ELF file can run on an unmodified Nintendo Wii console with the help of the twilight hack v0.1 alpha2 loader.

Wii-Linux Proof of Concept version 0.2 has both classic pads and audio enabled. In addition,
users can now use up to 52MB of MEM2 as a block device.

On the EXI front, support for SD cards with blocks greater than 512 bytes has been fixed. The developers have also established that Nintendo Wii doesn't suffer from the EXI leaking read bug.

Those who plan on using the program will have to have an SD Card, an SD Card adaptor for the Nintendo Game Cube as well as a Nintendo Wii. Like all homebrew, be sure to go over the documentation to avoid any problems.

Excellent, Wii homebrew continues to flourish.

However qj should release this info by bulk, not piece by piece.
