Wii homebrew - Image 1Wii homebrew dev aquilino has released an app called StartPatch that lets Wii owners unlock the Nintendo Wii's services and make them region-free. If you've ever used crediar's Starfall app before, then this is similar. Here's a rundown of StartPatch 4.0's features:
  • Region free
  • Region free channels
  • skip update check
  • No health check
  • move disc channel
This release, StartPatch 4.0, is only for System Menu 4.0, however, so make sure you don't go and try to use in on other System Menu versions. You also run the risk on bricking your Wii if you turn it off suddenly while you're using the app, so be extra careful about that too.
