The GUI's not the only thing new in this release. It also includes an on-screen keyboard, a new save manager and an experimental hq2xfilter from michniewski. Here's the complete changelog for Snes9x GX v4.0.0:
- New GX-based menu, with a completely redesigned layout. Has Wiimote IR support, sounds, graphics, animation effects, and more
- Thanks to the3seashells for designing some top-notch artwork, to Peter de Man for composing the music, and a special thanks to shagkur for fixing libogc bugs that would have otherwise prevented the release
- Onscreen keyboard for changing save/load folders and network settings
- Menu configuration options (configurable exit button, wiimote orientation, volumes)
- Configurable button mapping for superscope, mouse and justifier
- New save manager, allowing multiple saves and save browsing. Shows screenshots for Snapshot saves, and save dates/times
- Experimental hq2x filter, contributed by michniewski

only thing i can think of that this is missing is the ability to delete save states

Congratulations , this emu is pretty goooood. To make it even better, there is still something what might be to do or fix. Heres my list:
1.I'm agree what LowsNameBrand say to "ability to delete save states"
2.If you are in GAME MENU, you thing you can go back to the game to (B) button but no, you can't (there is HOME button, but still...)
3.If you are still playing the game & you go to GAME MENU, THEN you go to MAIN MENU, you can't return there the game you are that moment to pay ANY MORE, WHY? Why there isn't RETURN button anywhere?
4.Menu music, I like idea, but there is annoying NOTE in middle the music, so I just but the music to ZERO, so sad'
5.AND THE MOST AND IMPORTANT THING IN THIS EMU WHAT I WANT THAT SOMEONE FIX IT ALREADY... is the MOUSE, THE MMOOOOUUUUSSSEE EEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Why? It just SUCKS!
Every time you try to play some game that use MOUSE, there's always TWO cursors. That's right, TWO CURSORS, that's why the game play is so horrible.
...
...I just hope someone read this and make things happening...
