Wiibrew developer wplaat has released quite a few updates for Pong2 over the past couple of days, and now the homebrew game for the Wii is now at version 0.5.

As the name suggests, Pong2 is based on the original Pong, but it does boast a few improvements. For one, paddle can now be moved horizontally and vertically. There are also ten tracks of background music that you can listen to while playing.

Here's the changelog for Pong2 so far. We've also included the changelogs for versions 0.4 and 0.3.

22/10/2008 version 0.5

  • Added game score overview screen
  • Ball position is random now.
  • Added the (impossible) level five.

21/10/2008 Version 0.4

  • Added 4 game levels
  • Improved game board layout
  • Added game clock
  • Added pause (+) button

20/10/2008 Version 0.3

  • First release for public use
  • Added a nice start screen
  • Ball speed can now be controlled by A and B buttons
  • 10 tracks of background music added and can be controlled by 1 and 2 buttons
