Homebrew coders Scip, Rodries and the rest of the MPlayer CE team has released the latest compiled build of their feature-packed media player for the Nintendo Wii, MPlayer CE.

 

Changelog:

  • Upstream sync. [MPlayer r31057 / FFmpeg r22945]
  • Backported code from WiiMC.
  • Optimized GX_FillTextureYUV and fixed an ancient alignment bug.
  • Somewhat improved HD support, enough for light animes if you skip the intro and
  • outro.
  • Fixed video sometimes starting too early with surround audio.
  • Fixed crash related to text subtitles.
  • Other minor fixes and changes.

Very cool , but I think I have switched over to WiiMC for good. GUI is important, and Mplayer's is not satisfactory, for me.

I agree with Cnool, I have officially switched over to WiiMC, Mplayer will always be my first, but the GUI is horrid and Ive had too many crashes with the last release. I absolutely love WiiMC
