Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles - Image 1

Leon and Claire team up once again in another retroactive adventure in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. The game will act as the direct sequel to Umbrella Chronicles and will be mostly set in Raccoon City. Like Umbrella Chronicles, the game will have on-rails gameplay with interactive pathways.

And while it wasn't the Code Veronica announcement I was expecting, Capcom has also announced remakes of the original RE game and RE Zero. The RE Zero remake's actually been released in Japan last year, with a US localization declined twice. The hype surrounding Resident Evil 5 probably changed Capcom's mind.

No release date has been announced for any of these games, but the press release says they'll be out this year.

Yet again Crapcom favors the Wiik.

So the Wii doesn't deserve a couple of ports from the GC era unchanged, it's hard enough that the Wii is the only home system left out out of RE5 bandwagon (Heck! even the PC is getting it).

UC sequel is just an on-rails shooter taking advantage of the wii-mote, it's not a real follow-up nor a remake. I hope the wii gets an RE2-CV Remake just like the original had back in the GC keeping the old style gameplay (not RE4 style).

Stop Complaining!...Also, don't think of me as a Nintendo fan-boy because I'm not, I'm getting my limited edition of RE5 on PS3 tomorrow. +D

Don't bring up the portable consoles, because they're not that important plus there have been already iterations of the series like the original remade on the DS and the PSP will soon be getting the PSX versions of the game soon just like the japanese psn store has been doing so far...or just convert it and use it on CFW. XD

No, what I hate is that the Wii is getting all the good classic RE games and us PS3 owners are stuck with the *****ty RE action games (like RE5). I dont want an action game I want a survival horror game, the way RE was MENT to be. I've had to switch to Silent Hill (which by the way is an excellent series) now that Crapcom screwed up RE on the major platforms, yet they continue to release GOOD RE games on the Wii. And can someone please tell me why in the hell Crapcom would port RE0 to the Wii? Perhaps they snorted too much cocaine and forgot that they already released RE0 back a few years ago for the GC and that ALL GC GAMES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE WII.

» Remake of a remake?

I hope they mean the GCN RE1 and not the PSX RE1....

» Well They will add it eventually...

Look the Brigthside! Wii Users will have these Rare sequels of Resident Evil and yet the Normal sequel too, and other consoles will just have the Normal Sequels, and will have to buy a Wii to know what happens next, or after...?

All planned, Nintendo and Capcom did his job well, all part of an "Evil" Plot...

LOL

» Let's Hope And Pray That RE 0 and 1 Remake Wont Be On Rails

RE The Umbrella chronicles was an awesome game for the WII. I wasn't disappointed with the game but it could have been longer. I hope that the remakes will be like Metroid Prime where u can look around and perform action moves. I wish there was a patition that we can sign, asking for the remakes to be free roaming without rails
