Wii Firmware 3.2 now live |
Ó

Heads up, Nintendo Wii owners - it's that time of the month (or year) again where your Wii's disc slot glows a bright blue. No, it's not charging up to fire a bright blue beam of sparkly death at whoever's in front of it - in fact, it's just saying that there's a new firmware update available for you to download, and it wants you to download it right now. Before it fires a bright blue beam of sparkly death at you.
So, what's in this update? Not much. Here's the direct changelog from Nintendo:
Wii Menu 3.2
- This update does not affect any prominently-used features or menus; however it does provide some behind the scenes updates that will improve system performance.

I wonder what this is. It didn't change anything. May be it's a security update.
I guess a worthless security update is better than one that actually removes features like how the last one removed mp3 support.
Does this disable mod chips? Specifically the wiikey...
I'm pretty sure this is to stop the Twilight hack from working...
AAC is way better
It work with the Twilight hack ;)
I have add a video of the Update and the Twilight Hack Here :

still execute code, from the sd card? because i read that nintendo blocked the sd card reader for gamecube mode(action replay) so they may of bloacked it in wii mode now
This update does NOT harm any modchips and it does NOT harm the TP exploit. In addition, here's the ENTIRE news:
"Once installed, if a Game Disc is inserted into the Wii console and an update is required, a notification message will be displayed across the Disc Channel alerting you to update your system. If no update is needed, the title of the Game Disc inserted will be displayed."
Nintendo are obviously retarded and don't know how to do it otherwise they probably would have by now. Maybe they'll wait until the Twilight Princess exploit is more developed. Oh well, good for us Wiikey owners out there
