A lot of people raised their eyebrows when Electronic Arts said they're going to make a Dead Space game for the Wii, but doubters can shut their pieholes now. The studio just announced Dead Space: Extraction, a Wii exclusive game. But if you still don't believe me, here's a trailer:

Now that EA has your attention, and your renewed fear, here are some details for the game. Extraction will be set before the original game, and before the animated movie that served as a prequel to the original game. Which makes Extraction a prequel to a prequel. This is the story of several space colonists who have to fight against the contagion.

The hero is a mysterious girl who may be the colonists' last chance of survival. Sounds like the game will follow the people who first extracted the artifact that started the whole infection. In which case, you know what's gonna happen, right? The hero's gonna die. A horrible, bloody death. I am so gonna buy the game.

The game is set to be released Autumn of 2009.

» Ha

It's exclusive because the Gamecube with projectiles doesn't have what it takes to run the original one.

Why should they stop making *****ty games on the wii? 80% of the games are crappy and they still sell.
