There is no reliable source here. The fact is, the 360 outsells both the PS3 and the Wii. If the Wii is actually outselling, it's because it's a cheap piece of last-gen garbage, and goes to show how stupid people really are.

Trying to convince people that the sales havent changed and the PS3 has but as usual its bull and desperation(you also dont mention that Bioshock and the Elite get a dual launch in Europe this week), Madden in the USA sold nearly 1 million copies on the 360 in its first week this week and the PS3 sales are only higher than the gamecube, the 360 and Wii are destroying it there and even the PS2 is ahead take a look at the real world -

I agree that the Wii has won so far BUT with the basic 360 pack now almost the same price as the Wii I think it will impact the Wii sales over Christmas especially if the 360 also includes a big title in the pack to, I also agree that the PS3 will always be last it has dropped TWO models already only leaving the most expensive One as its only choice, the Elite launches this Friday in Europe with a price tag BELOW £300 again will make a big imapact over the Halo and Christmas times..

The Wii is fun at first, then the novelty wears off after about two weeks. Then you realize you should have spent the $250 on games for 360 or PS3. Next gen gaming isn't about running around your living room swinging your arm at crap graphics, it's about high def widescreen gaming with digital surround sound.

i got a wii and xbox 360 and i gotta say that the wii is fun but the xbox 360 has one thing better than the wii and that is online play. i play my wii but it gets kinda boring after abit, so does the xbox 360 on single player games but onlne gaming keeps the console alive. i think that microsoft know that they have hit the 10million mark and console sales are going down so they have released the xbox 360 elite to get back into the game. but i doubt they will outsell the wii.

One of two thigns happened:



1. The 10mil number was shipped in March, still though they would've outsold that.

2. Someone is innacurate. I'm pretty sure its this site as I'm almost certain I read a figure over 11m for 360s sold.



Anyway, who cares? I mean it' s great and all for nintendo, but really this isn't going to make any type of difference.

i dont know any non-hardcore gamers who even know what the ring of death is, the only place to really read about it is on gaming sites.

You should realy look up the facts before you go bashing a console all consoles have their ups and downs i will agree that the Wii is underpower and maybe they could have uped the power a little also calling it a upped ver of a gamecube is a little naive as its not where near the same as the gamecube and i own one also maybe a little overhyped.The games you listed are probably the worst ones you can get/play there are good games like zleda(which is 100x better on the wii then the gamecube)reside nt evil,wario ware,madden 08,Super smash brawl,MP3 etc.

i think its because people want to try something new and reliabilty which sucks on the 360 most 360s die by the time their a year old and this is true i have had friends where their 360s havent lasted more then a year what does this tell you personaly this is the reason i got the wii i want a console which can last more then 6 months after i get it.But i will also be buying the PS3 when the price drops and better games come out.

The 360 was rushed it thought it could win the console war by being first to release a console now that the wii has overtaken the so called "Gamecube 1.5 or 2.0" and got to 10mill units sold in half the time it took the 360.

The 360 sales numbers have stagnated while the shipping numbers continue to climb because of all the overheating issues with the 360. It doesn't help Microsoft jerks people around so badly on the EZ-Bake 360. I'm personally on 360 number 3. About the only plus side is that I've talked MS into an upgrade for my trouble but it's incredibly hard to get them to actually replace the hardware in the first place.

360 owners throw around numbers of sales like that meens its seeling systems. 1 million on madden, 4 million pre orders on H3, it all makes sence when compared to the 10 mill thats out DUMASS. i dont see anyone bashing 360 hear. PS3 has sold 4.5 million since the middle of july idk what it is now. the wii out sell the 360 its whats expected , the 360 sold almost 4 million the holiday season when GoW came out. G4 is so biased towards the PS3 on the AotS they were complaying that it took a year and a couple months for any A list exclusive to come out like MGS4 wtf!!! i am waitingf almost 2 years to play H3 games like GoW and BS arent A list there compared to RFOM, LAIR, HS devs that make exceptional games that havent made substantial mark on the gaming world.

All i can say is wait till halo 3 hits the market. This game alone will sell a whole bunch of 360's for sure

Even though the Wii may not be up to the standards of 360 and PS3 we need to look on the bright side. If the Wii wins this console war, we all can look forward to a graphically better Nintendo system that offers alot more than what the Wii offers now.

Fact: The Wii is a video game console, so therefore it has won the race regardless of whether or not its in "a whole different market".



Fact: The XBlowx711 has had not made significant sales in the past six months.



Fact: The PS3 has sold better in July, and in turn has sold more units faster in its lifetime than the XBlowx711 has despite being "overpriced".



Here are some things to consider:



A) If the Wii is not in the "race against console market", then you would have one since you wouldn't be buying it to compete against your XBlowx711.



B) You act as if a sudden surge of FPS games will suddenly boost up sales of the system. Halo 3 along with those 2345432 FPS games aren't anything new and can be experienced on a PC.



C) You don't give a damn about the Wii because it's technologically inferior to your console. LOL I love how you disregard it as a competing system considering you bash it. That's what you call "insecurity".

how can u even consider high defintion next gen, i mean what the hell do graphix have to with gaming. playing video games should be played for fun and the hell of it, nor just by there looks. the Wii is by far the most next gen console out there. Since the Wii launched and was sold out everywhere for months, anyone with a brain knew it would eventually be the #1 console.



That being said, I seriously doubt that it happened this soon. Before Christmas MS was saying they sold over 10 million 360 units, does VGChartz expect me to believe they havent sold that many since then? Come on, MS sold over a million Elites when that SKU came out. Thats just in the span of the Elite launch. Thats not counting since then, or the premium/core sales since the announcement I cited.



VGChartz pulls their numbers from the same place Nexgenwars and Nexgen.com. They simply dont know. If you look on their site they will say something about following sales trends and the like, but they simply dont know. For more accurate numbers NPD is there for observation, but even thats not accurate because NPD omits several large retailers, most notably WalMart.



Dont worry, when the Wii is the #1 selling console, Nintendo will be sure to let us know. Until then, we dont know for sure.

why is it acceptable for a system to have such high failure rates. xbox has one game and thats it, and that "games" franchise is about to come to an end. Nintendo will stand to the end. xbox's and playstation's will come and go but in the end their will always be Nintendo. they started the gaming industry, and they will always be there. xbox and ps wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for Nintendo.

by the way the xbox 360 lasts for a long time as i have had mine for a year and a half now, + microsoft have extended the warranty to 3 years so there is nothing to worry about.

They dont like the fact that the 360 now has an amazing 3 year guarantee and they only get 1 year, the time the 3 year guarntee ens the next gen consoles will proberly be here, perfect situation for 360 owners.



And they akways forget it was just the first round of consoles with the heatsink problem that has since been fixed by MS, the Elite is an amazing machine with all the latest tech and with its big hard drive and under £300 its going to sell well.



PS2 DVD DRIVE OF DEATH still in production but xbox owners dont point out that like the 360 it had a major fault but it being in its dvd drive by the millions, and like the 360 that was in the past so why mention it ? weird or what...
