Times Square - Image 1Here's a nifty new piece of homebrew for Wii fans to try out. mat_dizzy has created Wii Earth v0.1, an application based on PSP Earth v0.2 that essentially allows you to view a handful of cameras placed on specific points in New York and London areas.

There are two things you guys will need to note if you're planning on using this application. First off, you're not actually seeing the entire earth. To be more specific, the cameras are placed in Times Square, Trafalgar Square, and BBC Radio 1 Studios A and B. More importantly, you'll need to grab a copy of the Wii Opera Browser, so if you missed it when it was free, you'll now have to shell out 500 Wii Points for it.

In any case, we've tried it out, and for the most part, we certainly recommend you check out the Times Square feed at least once. If you're lucky like us, you'll see some guys walking around with alcohol in their system, Just remember to check out the readme beforehand to get it to work, alright?

» .

A website with flash based live webcam feeds is not really homebrew per se...I mean, yeah, the website was probably made in someones home, which technically could be homebrew...but honestly, I think it would be more accurate just to call this a website. and no, you dont' need a modchip I'm sure
