wow, its amazing... i will get it solely for the ps1 graphics!!! Its amazing sentimental value.. and it reminds me of my old loved sony system! i think i will wait until the second hand selling craze... analyst say that people will go crazy buying them.. but then sell them afterwards cheap as they will be accumulating dust after the holidays! i think of it like my ps2 eye toy... twas cool to play with mates.. but it only happened once a year!

ok, so i had to change my mind after actually watching some of the videos out there. I never watched them, i just kind of judged the system by what i heard from my friends. I will most definitely be getting the Wii when i comes out. Those are some of the most intuitive controls i've ever seen! The PS3 is no match for the Wii. Wii willl be on the top of my list, hands down!

Here's s'more stuff. -LIGHT SABER GAME. -SD slot makes this system seem slightly hopeful it will see homebrew sooner than later. -you could probably throw the wii/wii controller at a cat or dog. -Developers showering system with praise, gamecube hardware will mean devs will have experience with the system already, etc. -no bluray diode shortages -South Park producers are willing to sell out like whores to pimp the Wii (just like they sold out like whores to pimp the PSP and W.O.W.) -Wii system surface great for breaking up weed -Damn it, they better release a bunchload of on-rail gun games (house of the dead, time crisis, etc)

problem

The problem with the WII's virtual console is that all the old school games that everyone is so jacked up about can be played for free on the PSP/PC and other systems via emulators. The only thing I'm excited about is the N64 games but the PSP in the future will play these as well. So in summary, the PS1 on PS3 means alot more to me.

#7 would conflict with #1 and #3 if you didn't see that add-in word in #7 saying PRETTY MUCH, it's saying that most of the games that you will see on the PS3 will be on the Wii as well. Although, the Wii will take the game to a different level in terms of playing with the Wii remote. That doesn't mean that there aren't exclusive games coming out for the PS3 like MSG4, Devil May Cry 4, etc etc.

LOL, list sucks. 63 games and you included classics, bull*****. Did yah count the PS1 downloadables that will be out soon? I don't know exactly how much there will be though but still downloadable classics hahaha. So it's really down to 23:32 which isn't a big difference because some of the games for Wii are just ports or stupid ass games likes spongebob squarepants. The third party exclusive isn't so much exclusive, and list isn't that impressive. Rayman is only a timed exclusive right? not sure, and there are Tony hawks everywhere. There are some good/obvious points, like cheaper, fun for parties, etc. The classics will sell, although many, many of us already have emulated everyone of them on our Pcs. I still hope that Wii and the PS3 will do well though, screw the xbox ;D.

PS1 games arent freakin classics, they came out about 8-7 years ago, nintendo games came out like 20 years. Unless your telling me Ape Escape and all the other crap on the PS1 are "classics"

PSP not dead

With some of the latest titles coming out of PSP I know more and more people thinking about getting one. Gitaroo Man Sequel Metal Gear Solid Game Power Stone Collection they are getting cheaper so I'm picking one up for Gitaroo Man for sure.

Nothing on the PS1 was great? (leans over to his collection) Where do we start Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII-IX, Chrono Cross, Wild Arms I and II, Intelligent Cube, Legend of Dragoon, Medievil, Alundra I and II, Crash Bandicoot games, Parappa the Rappa, Um Lammy Jammy, I could keep going but I need to go to sleep in the next 3 hours. Counting classic games that you can download is like counting all the backwards compatible games on a console. It means nothing. Will anyone honestly get their Wii sit down and go download Super Mario as their first game to play?

i am not saying the wii has ps1 graphics.. the wii technical spec sheet is!! besides the ps2 cost me 300 pounds back in the day.. this is costing me 450.. thats not too bad.. just think.. .HD Age, Blu-ray, amazing quality digital era, 1080 p LCD HD screens.. Everyone is trying to look their best... and then you have wii.... which is what it sounds.. a urine stain more than one person can play with.... hookin up a wii to my 1080p 40 inch lcd its like getting a super pentium computer with additional cores, just to play pacman... the wii runs on gamecubes engine.. and the gamecube sucked.. its basically a gamecube after surgery... with a new controler.. you can do that for any console.. just buy one of those weird lookin MadCatz controllers! I have played on a ps3... and used 6axis, and afterwards i wasnt thinkin.. resistance fall of man.. its resistance fall of nintendo!

I'm sorry, but some of those reasons really suck.

Third reason: 32 REAL, new games, and 30 old games that everybody has played through emulation anyway. That makes 23 to 32. 9 games more is a lot less than over 30 more games. Fifth reason: Like I already said, everybody has played those games already through emulation and on the old console's. I'm not going to pay AGAIN for my old games, I'd rather just hook up my nes/snes/n64 to play them again. I won't miss out on those if I don't buy the wii. Sixth reason: What kind of hell reason is that to buy a game, hmm. I don't know if I'll buy the PS3 or the Wii. Wait a minute, the wii has way more availabality, I'll take it! And by the way, the benelux (Netherlands where I live, Belgium and Luxembourgh) are still getting only a few wii's. I work at Media-Markt and they're like the biggest game shop in town, and we only get 30 wii's. Whith the Xbox 360 for example we got 50. And that was a real pain in the ass. Seventh reason: It's just a lie. There are no HD graphics on the wii, so you'll miss out on that. In three years, do you still want to play with gamecube-like graphics when everybody is playing Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XII in 1080p. Eighth reason: I'll give you it's cheap, but you already said it was cheap on the sixth reason. That's just thesame reason. That leaves 5 'real' reasons left. And I don't really agree with them too. But anyway, I can tell ya: The PS3 has ALL those reasons, and WAY more. Blu-Ray, 1080p, Resistance: fall of man, Motorstorm, Final Fantasy XIII is coming, Metal Gear Solid 4. A (FREE) internet browser, being able to put some HD movies on your portable harddisk and playing them on your HDtv just by playing it through your PS3. Being able to play normal games, and have motion-sensing gimmicks (because say it, motion-sensing is still just a gimmick after a few months of playing). Don't get me wrong tho, I WILL get a Wii. And a PS3, but when it all comes down, and I had to choose between a Wii or PS3. It wouldn't really be a choice, just the fact that the PS3 is the real winner.

Do you nintndo fans realize that you will be paying close to the same amount as the PS3 if you want all of the Wii Wii's features. Think about it: $250(unit)+$60(secondary Wii Mote)+ $20(Classic Remote)+ $$$$ for Classic Games. People will actually be retarded enough to buy those classic games when there easily accessible over the internet. The PS3 comes with everything youll practically need out of the box. It also has motion sensing, way better graphics over Gamcube version 2, and has free online play in a basic package. The user interface is really cool as well. People its time to stop putting down the PS3's price as well considering it has advanced technology and not current which makes the cost of the unit go up.
