On the results of a psychological test run by Anderson Analytics, the company stated findings like: "there were significant differences between boys who saw Playstation images and Xbox images. Boys who saw Xbox pictures were higher on power motivation than boys who saw Playstation images.
Boys in the Xbox group also scored higher on self-confidence than participants in the Playstation group. In addition to these differences between Playstation and Xbox, the images of these game consoles affected boys in different ways.
For boys in the Xbox group seeing the ad increased levels of distrust. This increase was not seen in the Playstation group."
Anderson Analytics is a Stamford, Connecticut-based, full service market research consultancy that combines new technologies with traditional marketing research techniques. Their study on brand names' effects on it's consumers was conducted via text mining software to gauge the subconscious response to brands like Xbox and PlayStation.
The results are astonishing, even shocking as the company gave sharp contrasts of one brand's users against another brand users. The study's participants consists of male and female respondents but the number of participant and their ages are unclear.

anyway, the xbox 360 sold 3.5 million units in the US, 1.3 in europe, and 40 000 in the rest of the world ( this include japan ) so the xbox 360 is not selling at all around the world and not selling at all in the video gaming market, japan. It's also selling really bad in europe, and is selling OK in US, I mean, after one year 3.5 millions... after 5 years of ps2 its 200 millions :S ( 3.5m*5=17.5m units ) So the market is really "waiting" for a choice, with the wii and ps3 the consoles will really start selling ( surely the wii will win with a LOW price for the 3 first years at least, and I'd say the ps3 will be in 3rd at start ( dah, if the wii if 1st and the xbox 360 have an advance of 1 year ) but after some years the ps3 will come on ~top, maybe under nintendo but not by a big diferance and the xbox 360 will be 3rd, that's what I think but like anybody, I may be right, we'll see.
anyway this article is crap, I don't see why they posted this.

but seriously, having a life is about doing what makes you happy.. so for some, this doesn't require the opposite sex. so stop hating on nerds on a gaming website.
