Wal-Mart hands out memo for AC/DC; Expansion Pack for Rock Band 2 also coming? |
Ó
A brave Wal-Mart employee by the name of Brandon Undead has posted on his blog a memo that they received recently. Now, the memo pertains to some promotional efforts for AC/DC's upcoming studio album, "Black Ice". Why should that matter to us when it's common for retail stores to have promotional schemes for new albums?
Because in the memo, it says that there's an AC/DC Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2) Expansion Pack, that's why. Yes, it's the AC/DC Live at Donington and it's supposed to have 15 new tracks, tagged with a US$ 11.88 price. At first he thought it could be just DLC, until he remembered that their store does not sell DLCs. Ergo... it's an actual physical disc, maybe?
The "Black Ice" album will be dropping on October 20th, so Brandon Undead posits that the expansion pack will probably arrive on or before that date. Anyway, we're very grateful for this information. The rock gods sure are shining down upon us especially brightly this year, what with all the cool artists hitching a ride in the videogame wagon.
As for Brandon, he expects to be fired any time now for leaking this memo to the world wide web. We appreciate.
In the meantime, here's the track list for Live at Donington:
- "Thunderstruck"
- "Shoot to Thrill"
- "Back in Black"
- "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be"
- "Heatseeker"
- "Fire Your Guns"
- "Jailbreak"
- "The Jack"
- "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"
- "Moneytalks"
- "Hells Bells"
- "High Voltage"
- "Whole Lotta Rosie"
- "You Shook Me All Night Long"
- "T.N.T."
- "Let There Be Rock"
- "Highway To Hell"
- "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)"

I would definitely buy that especially for the price...I'll also have to see if there's any news about it at my work
That album has pretty much all of their best songs on it, by both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Hope this is happening
You know, it could just come in the form of a redeemable Xbox Live/PS3 online code.
Way Awesome News. This is gonna be awesome.
Rock Band 2 sounds like it's going to be pretty good. there is just one problem... i already have the 1st rock band and i don't need any more plastic instruments in my family room. i just don't have the room... or the cash. i was thinking that i could just use the old rock band drums but then i realized that they had one less drum. does anybody know if by chance the rock band 2 drums would be compatible with rock band 1? if so, i could just sell my current rock band drums (eBay) and buy the new ones. a problem with that would be, where could i buy them seperately?
...but I've been under the impression that they are compatible. Not absolutely sure though.
All the instruments from the original Rock Band are 100% compatible with Rock Band 2.
Both RB1 and RB2 drums have 4 pads, only difference is the RB2 set is wireless and has inputs for cymbals add-ons.
If you already have the instruments just drop $60 bucks on the disk, IMHO the soundtrack is really good and the tweaks they made are worth the price.
... so i'm only getting the disc... 3guitars, a drumset, and a mic is too much already... LOL...
I just went to wal-mart site and its crazy.

xbox's are dropping again!
The way i read that memo is that the 15 track CD and the video game are 2 separate things.
The $11.88 15 track CD being their new album "Black Ice".
Everything else listed being separate AC/DC themed merch including a rock band 2 expantion. As in your article you even list 18 tracks for live at donnington.
