Homebrew - Visual Boy Advance GX 1.0.2 - Image 1Wiibrew developer Tantric has released the latest version of Visual Boy Advance GX, the Game Boy Advance and Game Boy emulator for the Wii. A lot of updates in this release, with a lot of emphasis on improving speed.

In case this is your first time encountering the homebrew, this emulator offers several great support features, including state saving, auto frame skip, support for SD and USB, and just recently, SMB and GameCube MCs as well.

It's a pretty well thought out emulator.

Here's the changelog from Tantric for v1.0.2:
  • New core! The core is now a custom combination of VBA-M and VBA 1.72
  • Added DVD, SMB, ZIP, GameCube MC support
  • Faster USB/SD speeds
  • Screen alignment and flickering problems fixed
  • 128K save support added
  • Better emulation speeds. Should now be nearly full speed all the time for most games.
  • Turbo speed feature. Mapped to right C-stick (classic controller & Gamecube controller), and A+B for wiimote
  • Controller mapping preferences bug fixed. Your preferences will reset automatically to correct any problems in your preferences file
  • Many other tweaks behind the scenes
