This week's Virtual Console Friday update adds new Wii games for the Virtual Console category at the Wii Shop Channel. The list features Blades of Steel, Skate or Die, and Monster Lair. Let's check them out, shall we?

First off is the pioneering Skateboarding game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Skate or Die, that is presently up for grabs for 500 points. Released back in the 80's by Electronic Arts, Skate or Die received a warm welcome from gamers then.

Next is Monster Lair originally for the Turbo CD, going for 800 Wii points. Monster Lair is basically just the third installment of Sega's 80's arcade game Wonder Boy but if you fancied Wonder Boy before, then you'll most probably like Monster Lair now.

Now, everybody knows how successful Blades of Steel for the NES was back in the late 80's. Gamers who have been able to play the game give it a thumbs up so, you might just want to consider this game next time you head on over to the Wii Shop Channel. You can enjoy it for 500 Wii points.
