also, i have been seeing a lot of ray park lately - from g.i. joe, recalling back to star wars phantom menace as darth maul, hellbinders (budget film), heroes (recent season) and now king of fighters. lol.
.......at least Maggie Q is nice to look at...?

Mortal Kombat (the first one) was excellent, and very true to the game.
Another GREAT FIGHTER FRANCHISE gone to shi.ts cause of retarded writers/directors the orochi saga was the best of KOF these people telling me that they cant make a proper movie out of that ....and wth is up with Terry all i got to say is LOL
Now I've died a little inside. My wife just saw me laughing and saw how quickly that became tears of sorrow. I grew up on KOF and have always preffered it to SF or MK. The only thing that would make the world right again is if the Tekken movie sucks.

I found all the Mortal Kombat movies painful watch including the first one. Just terrible. But then I hate the MK games so that's probably why I couldn't get into it.
why in god's name would you watch a movie when you know you hate the subject matter?
the second movie is on par with just about every other vg>movie conversion. but the first one outclasses it by miles.
I grew up playing kof and metal slug on the arcade machine since 1996( i was 5 back then) and to find out that hollywoods greed did this to part of my childhood,

Ralf / Clark could've been the CIA guys if any. Toad as Rugal?! Seriously?! I can understand Mickey Rourke as Rugal or Liev Schriber as Geese, but TOAD?! KOF has become someone's TP lately as SNK is pooping all over it. KOFXII was another heartbreak and they could've easily included KOF:Online on the disc for the price. Now the movie is just awful from actors to plotline. I'd had a very different cast:

Kristen Kruek as Athena/Yuri (I know capcom wouldn't let that happen) Screw it... Zhang Ziyi

there are only two of them. not 5 or 4 or even 3...
you may not have liked the first one, but you can't deny it was more faithful to the game and it's story than most vg > movie conversions.
I had to watch it cos I was at a friends house at the time and it was movie night and that's what he rented for all of us to sit down. Only he enjoyed it, but then he did dress up as Scorpion one time (not even for halloween, just a random day) and try to har***** everyone with that 'come here' and 'get over here' madness.
