We just got word that peripheral maker VDigi Electronics has a solution for gamers who want to connect their Wii units to a CRT or LCD monitor in the form of a VGA cable. That's just one example, and I have seen them for around the same price as one set of these cords, and the box isn't system-specific. I still wish my cheaper-than-crap solution would work, though...
