Metroid for the NES - Image 1It's Monday again, and you Wii owners out there know what this day is all about. Yep, three more classic titles have been added to the Nintendo Wii video game system's Virtual Console service. Read on for all the pertinent info.
  • Metroid (NES, 500 Wii Points) - This is where it all began. As Samus, players must penetrate the space pirates' home planet, Zebes, and keep them from destroying the galaxy with the dangerous life forms known as Metroids. If you haven't played this game yet, we urge you to download it and do so.
  • Shining in the Darkness (Sega Genesis, 800 Wii Points) - Puzzling solving and some kickass action come together in this Sega Genesis title. Players must find the Arms of Light and defeat the evil Dark Sol and bring peace to the enchanted Kingdom of Thornwood.
  • Cratermaze (TurboGrafx16, 600 Wii Points) - This week's TurboGrafx16 title is a comical action game where players fight their way through 60 rounds of mazes to save their friends. Enemies are dispatched by literally burying them alive - players dig holes to trap them in and then fill the holes to finish them off.
Check the Wii Shop Channel to see if the above games are already available in your area.
