VC Japan gets Super Metroid and Sin and Punishment on the 20th |

And you thought that Super Thunder Blade and Detana! TwinBee were it for this week in Japan's Virtual Console? Two other games are following just two days after the titles previously announced. October 20 sees the release of two smash hit games: Super Metroid and Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Earth (Tsumi to Batsu: Chikyu no Keishosha).While North America has gotten Samus Aran's SNES iteration last month, Japan finally gets their 800 Wii Points' worth of Metroid love. Since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption hasn't been released in Japan yet, we're guessing this should be more than enough to make up for it.
From the Nintendo 64 platform though, Japan's also getting one of the most requested VC games for the Wii: Sin and Punishment. While some might think that the third-person action adventure title would do better as a "Wii Edition" remake (with full Wiimote + Nunchuk controls to boot), it definitely wouldn't hurt to have the original available - despite it costing 1200 Points.
With these two titles, it looks like October 20 in Japan has "Science-Fiction, Double Feature" written all over it.
