Screenshot of Konami's Castlevania X - Image 1Just because Nintendo has recently rolled out WiiWare as its forerunning online service in Japan, it doesn't mean that the company will be neglecting its usual Virtual Console updates for those who enjoy playing classic titles on their console.

The official Nintendo Japan website has already listed its upcoming titles for April, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Sky Kid, Musha Aleste and several other old-school games ready to be released this coming April 1.

Perhaps the biggest title to hit VC Japan will be the return of the all-time favorite, Castlevania X (a.k.a. Castlevania X: Rondo of Blood). It's arrival definitely beats the premium players had to pay just to get last year's Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles on the PlayStation Portable, which was packed with the once Japan-exclusive retro classic.

Anyway, here's a list of the upcoming games that will hit the VC service in Japan this April::

Famicom
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Sky Kid
  • Volguard II
  • Bokosuka Wars
Super Famicom
  • Famicom Tantei Club Part II: Ushiro ni Tatsu Shojo
  • Hercules no Eikou IV
Master System
  • Super Wonder Boy
Mega Drive
  • Musha Aleste
  • Phantasy Star II
  • Phelios
PC Engine
  • Crest of Wolf
  • Valkyrie no Densetsu
  • Castlevania X: Chi no Rondo
  • Digital Champ Boxing
  • Monster Lair
Neo Geo
  • Metal Slug

» Sweet!

Dude this is awesome, while it's not as good as Castlevaina IV (my opinion), any 2-D castlevania is great!
