VC Europe Update: Yoshi's Story, Super Air Zonk, Magician Lord |
Ó
Wii Shop Channel shoppers in the European side of the world are getting another sweet deal courtesy of Nintendo's Virtual Console feature, with three titles each from three different gaming consoles of the past supplying us with sweet retro action. Let's take a look-see at what new items we can splurge our hard-earned Wii points on.First up is Yoshi's Story, that iconic green dinosaur...thing's own platformer game from the Nintendo 64. Pitting you in the pivotal role of Mario's tongue-wielding friend, you have to make your way through six colorful worlds to chow down on as much fruit as you can possibly can while avoiding baddies and foiling Baby Bowser's evil plans.
Next is Super Air Zonk from the Turbo Duo system, the sequel to the quirky side-scroller shoot-em-up on the TurboGrafx. Featuring wacky gameplay mechanics such as transforming into various vehicles of destruction, as well as a very catch soundtrack, Super Air Zonk is definitely worth a look into if you're into fast and frenetic shooting action.
Last but definitely not least is Magician Lord, from the legendary Neo Geo. You, the player, dons robe and wizard hat to battle wave upon wave of demonic forces with your awesome powers of magic. Said powers include being able to transform into a giant dragon, a samurai, and much more - all for the sake of world peace. And cool demon-slaying.
If you've got the Wii Points, then the Wii Shop Channel has your retro fix. Enjoy!
