WiiWare - Virtual Console - Wii Shop Channel - Image 1Splatterhouse 2, sequel to one of the most violent video games of its time, is now available on the Wii Virtual Console. Now if only the Wii existed back in the 80's, it would have been enough to satisfy the hardcore crowd.

As it is, let's settle for being retrocore. Splatterhouse 2 is available for 800 Wii Points.

Also on the Virtual Console this week is Sonic the Hedgehog, worth 500 Wii Points. This is a port of the original Sega Genesis version, except with new stages, bosses, zones and a level map.

On WiiWare this week is Wild West Guns, worth 1,000 Wii Points. Practice your aiming skills in this Old West-themed game. Shoot anything and everything on screen.

Yeah

We're wondering about that too. The original post announcing Mega Man VC on the Capcom Unity blogs was taken down. The blog's moderator Sven is already looking on it, and we'll let you know more as soon as we do.

Original Sonic with new stages?

For 500 points I may have to check that one out!

new sonic stages?

They're finally doing something good with Sonic and adding to his actual legacy for once! Too bad there was no Megaman, but that Wild West game is more fun that it looks. Not exactly worth 10 bucks, but it's fun. Splatterhouse 2 FTW! (I actually like the Sonic addition more though)
