So close and yet so far away...

The countdown is finally winding down for the release of the Nintendo Wii, and with every passing hour, time just seems to move so very slowly for those who have long been waiting for this event.

So, for those who can't wait, once again, we have some images to feast on for the meantime. The people of IGN have managed to get their hands on the retail version of the Wii this early. They'd like to show everyone just what exactly would be in the box, just so you know you're getting everything you need after waiting in line for it for as long as 24 hours (you guys don't really plan to spend the night on the streets in the cold, now do you?).

As far as the photos show, the package will consist of the console itself, the stand, its AC power adapter, manuals and warranty cards, a copy of Wii Sports, a Wiimote, and a pair of batteries. They seem to have forgotten to take photos of the sensor bar, the cables, and the nunchuck attachment though, but we all know it will all be there, right?

In any case, back to the countdown...

Is the Wii compatable with SCART or AV Composite (red, yellow and white, red left audio, white right audio and yellow video), as i do not have a tv which has an interface or connection for Component video, or S-video. I onle have one SCART and a yellow and white connection at the front as my tv is only mono and not HD :(

Thanks....
