Ubisoft clears control details for Driver: Parallel Lines |
Ó
The Barcelona-based Ubi devs gave a few pointers about the matter. According to them, the Wiimote will be used to select the target, master the weapon, as well as shoot down the enemies. The Nunchuk, on the other hand, will be used to drive and adjust the speed. It will also be used to control the character as well as it gestures.
The development team then added that the controls for Parallel Lines will totally be different compared to the PS2 and Xbox versions. They explained,
We have also implemented a new controller concept. There is no auto-target; so the player will be able to point and shoot everywhere on the screen. We have changed the camera to an OTS (over the shoulder) view. The advantage is that the experience is similar to a FPS so it's more fun as well.
As we mentioned, Driver: Parallel Lines comes from the sandbox genre. While these pointers will prove to be useful, the real fun lies in discovering them for yourself. With that said, be sure to get the game when it arrives on March 30.
