Ubisoft Brings Splinter Cell: Double Agent to the Wii on Launch Day |
Ó
Apparently, Ubisoft's dedication to the Wii knows no boundaries. In addition to the seven titles already planned for the Wii launch, Ubisoft just announced that they're bringing Splinter Cell: Double Agent to the table as well - yes, that's on launch!
Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft commented: "The Splinter Cell franchise has always translated very well across multiple platforms and we are confident that the Wii version will continue the tradition of maximizing the capabilities of each respective video game console platform."
It seems the Wii version of Double Agent will be based on the PS2/GameCube builds, with some visual and gameplay-related improvements. While some of the missions included in the Xbox 360 version will be missing, Ubisoft promises to take full advantage of the Wii controls, with the Wiimote and nunchuck in use. No further details how the game will play with these controls are yet known, since Ubisoft is still hard at work testing the new scheme.
With a release in the launch window, Ubisoft probably couldn't find the time to include online features, however, additional downloadable content is promised via the WiiConnect24 service later on.
You can check out some of the first screens below - we'll get back to you with more information as soon as we get it.

Im sure that everyone is going to start screaming at this post and telling me that im crazy, but I personally think that the screens look pretty good. Sure, they aren't super good quality, but they are still better than I would have expected.
it looks better than I expected
this graphics pwn..
That cant be on Wii omg dude that gotta be xbox360 if not WoW those graphics are insain. if thats Wii im serouisly impressed
are u kiddin me .look lie xbox 1.5. stop being such fanboys and open ya eyes.look at ps3 n xox 360 pics those kill this
Okay yes PS3 is pretty and all but Sony gonna go bankrupt on that thing. In my opinion Video games have evolved as far they can within the peraminters within sound, graphics atleast for now. Where to go next. Well PS3 is following with its little tilt thing. 360 was total idea stealer. But Nintendo has the idea. Make it look good enough and lets focus on something new. Decent online support for our games and new way at whats good gameplay. PSP and DS are good examples of this.
you said this "PSP and DS are good examples of this"
exactly WHAT was original on the psp? nothing. That is why the DS is selling more then sony could ever dream of.
Guys, dont u think its funny that ps3 fanboys are so scared of the wii they spend time and effot coming to the wii section and posting rubbish? iam *****ing myself.
I was tired last night when posted what I ment to say was the DS and PSP is a good example of how the wii and PS3 will do in the market. Because its the same approach. As Sony and Nintendo are doing. Sony looking evolution while Nintendo looks to innovation. And by the sales figures..I gues the people want innovation.
game consoles = gamplay
pc = graphics
wii = gamplay
ps3 = graphics
***** $600, rather get a comp upgrade.
LOL bob you are a moron. You do not need a gimmicky control to have fun, or "gamplay". PS3 is made of gameplay and graphics. Plus PC games are different from PS3 games you retard. Just because they both have the ability to look good doesn't mean they are the same. So yah, enjoy your Wii.
