Wiibrew players, get your marks ready! The recent Wii Menu Update v3.3 may have allayed everyone's Wii homebrew habits when it surprisingly blocked the Twilight Hack. But now, just as the Team Twiizers promised, the team was able to find a workaround for the problem: the updated version of the Twilight Hack has finally been released!

Here's the chaneglog for the workaround update from Team Twiizers:
  • The Twilight Hack is now compatible with version 3.3 of the Wii System Menu.
  • Improvements in video configuration. The entire console should now be visible in all video modes, and scrolling has been improved.
  • For the USA version, the two variants of the hack have been packed into one save file. Just select the save slot that corresponds to your version of Twilight Pricess when you start the game.
  • New savegame icons by drmr. The new icons now show which region that version of the hack is for.
  • This version now tries to load boot.dol, and falls back to boot.elf if boot.dol is not found.
  • ???????
  • Many, many bug fixes.
Make sure you open the readme file included in the archive as it contains detailed instructions on how to install this Twilight Hack workaround.

Thanks to Digicron, Lil Diabo, and Extra2000 for the tip!

Gamecube version

What about the gamecube version of twighlight princess. im sure that can be exploited to but does this work on it? i didnt test it but i hope it becomes compatible because the data code on the backside is completely different than the wii although the game still plays on the wii

Yes it works...

And then?

What good would that do us? Of course you could break into a GameCube-Game - and the GC-Version should be vulnerable to the same exploit - but then we would be in GC-Mode, which is absolutely useless - we alreade got there way back when the Wii was released.

poem?

So, whats the poem say? I have never used the twilight hack because I have a driuve chip that installed HBC. No need to run twilight after that Good job anyway. My bet is that ninty fixes this in about 3 or 4 months.

lawl

3 months, I agree. Then it'll be another 3-5 days before getting completely owned again.

Ugh

Nintendo should simply beg for them to not allow Running of ISOs in any way and then stop harassing our diligent working programmers.

.

well the dev's who created the twilight hack and HBC already said they will not develop an ISO loader.
