Toys R Us pointing to a Wii price cut?

With no word coming from Nintendo about a price cut, those hoping to pick up a Wii for less may have to get one from Toys R Us. According to his ad dug up by Kotaku, a Wii price cut will come this month. If this isn't Nintendo giving in to their sales decline, this would have to be Toys R Us taking matters into their own hands.

The Toys R Us label has the Wii at US$ 199.99, slashing fifty bucks off the Wii's price point. They're even throwing in Wii Sports to sweeten the deal. Kotaku reports that this price cut will hit the week of September 27th. Nintendo, on the other hand, still has to make a price cut adjustment, so maybe this price reduction will stay with Toys R Us.

Price cut and it's still an expensive gamecube.

Yeah I'm not buying this until the price goes down to $100. That's the same thing I did for the Gamecube and Xbox last gen.
