Eenie minnie miny moeOver at Australia, patrons of Toys 'R' Us who had Wii pre-orders lashed out in a rage as they found out that the promised bonus game included in the pre-order bundle would be none other than Ubisoft's wholesome and friendly Open Season. What a downer, yeah.

But fortunately, the retailer heeded the demands of the upset consumers, and now has come up with an alternative to them cuddly forest pets. As an option, they are now offering Need for Speed: Carbon as an added choice for the pre-order bundle. The retailer's head office also confirmed to Aussie-Nintendo.com that they had their eyes set on the demographics of families, hence, they initially  picked the G-rated Open Season game for the bundle.

Meanwhile, the newer Family Pack pre-order is still a go at AUS$ 729 (US$ 558.64), and will have five games, including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

But all's well now, and hopefully, them angry customers will be appeased. Now there's a little something for everybody, eh?

was just wondering, for those that have pre-ordered at toys r us... does your pre-order slip mention anything about the free game?

mine mentions an "offer" but does not directly state that it will include a bonus game. i did ask the guy behind the counter and he said that i was still eligible for the offer. just hoping i won't have trouble come release date :)

anyways, this is great news... i was expecting the bonus game to be wii play. carbon for me :)
