Halo is a much better game then vice city in my opinion.
The storyline is better, the graphics are better and the fact that it could be played over and over in campaigne and multiplayer unlike vice city which never had anything that made me come back to it.
Halo the best game of all time.
Bad list. BAD LIST, VERY BAD. Madden, wtf? And there's even 50 Cent in there. While I think Halo is overrated piece of crap, it does deserve the first place because it became really big name. And I mean REALLY big name. It was the one to save Xbox.

To poster #3 and #4, this top 100 was about games which were released in 2000 or after that.
Still sad to see what crappy games sell well. Vice City is sooo overrated, but I expected as much. Seeing a Madden game up there hurts though.
With a much bigger PS2 userbase than xbox or gamecube it is no surprise in the end that big selling PS2 games are way up.

I believe that this list is so very wrong but I think its just based on sales which makes it also very accurate. as vice city was a multi platform title its got much more sales than halo which is just xbox and then later pc.
I'm very pleased to see kingdom hearts in the top 10 tho.
Things like 50cent bullet proof and spongebob have no place on any best list, except the best waste of a game and best failures.

Plus, like someone already said, why do they call up multiple versions of Madden, but every other franchise seems to get only one spot? It looks like some douche just slapped some numbers on his personal top 100 and called it sales figures. This list fails. Reroll.

And sorry Swifty but Vice City did sell more than Halo 2, almost twice as much. Why, because it's a great game, period. And way more people own a PS2 compared to XBOX. Halo 2 sold well because lets face it, it's the only halfway decent game on XBOX.

This is based on SALES IN THE UNITED STATES. I repeat, SALES IN THE UNITED STATES. The sales numbers are all accurate. The numbers you're getting off Wikipedia are both WRONG and WORLDWIDE figures. Again, these rankings are for SALES IN THE UNITED STATES. They are all accurate. I'm the resident QJ sales-figures guy ;)

Resonable list, other than Madden. It *****ing ruins me when I realize how much these repackaged sports games sell.
All these games are some of the best games on the market in my opinion. I have owned a PS2, Xbox, PSP and an Xbox 360 and played most of these games on one console or another. Some stupid 10 year old kids just post whatever they want on these forums, while managing to make no sense whatsoever. I stand behind the QJ staff, I believe they have the numbers right and most people are calling their bluff becuase they did not read what the stats are supporting.
P.S. People keep b*tching about games like Halo sucking and GTA being so much better, but thats just 'cause you are such avid fanboys about one company or the other that you cant pull your heads out of your a*sses to open your eyes and actully PLAY the games on OTHER CONSOLES.

With many good FPS why HALO is on the list?Half Life 2 is better in my opinion.HALO popular only amongside XBOX fanboys and US gamers.Ask for example Japanese gamers are the know that famous HALO or MASTERCHIEF?They never heard of it! (Sorry my english is not so good)
by the way Halo came out in 2001 and gta vc came out in 2003 and it still sold more.
