Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam Video Demo |
Ó
The first video demonstration for Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam has just popped up on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Developed by Toys For Bob, this is the first skateboarding game to feature downhill racing as well as use of the Wiimote. As you can see in the video, the controller is used to turn, and you can even shake it to get up from falls faster or activate boost. The Wii version will include a multiplayer mode with support for at least 2 (and possibly 4) people head-to-head on the same screen. As you can see, this release steers away from the same formula we're used to seeing in Tony Hawk games, and so far the developers are doing a great job with their innovative ideas.

I suspect that was supposed to be 'at least 2 (and possibly 4)'.
We won't know how much fun it actually is until a Wii is sold to the public, of course.
Looks like crap tbh. Rubbish use of the controller.
Anyone find this way too similar to SSX Tricky?
I like the fact that they are doing something away from the regular tony hawk games... seriously it's been the same game for 4 years now... So a nice fresh start and what do you want from the controller? It looks like they are using it just fine, but I'm not a publisher or a dev or even a marketer just someone who buys games
i agree its like ssx but skatebording.they should make another ssx game and use it like that . it looks good and hard. i proabley wont buy it cause i don't like skate bording games but it looks like a goo rent
this game looks boring , i rather play the new tony hawk 8 project because it will include more better looking enviorment and fun. this one looks like tony hawk 3 the kiddy style.
activision makes it better, not from different company that is wrong. it looks like the superman from n64 going through those blue rings the same. and how can you really play with a few buttons. what if don't want to use the wii senors.
lookz pretty kool, real gamin is about the fun value, anyways, lookz lik it will get to be challenging
Looks good it would be better if it is a Wi-Fi game
This game is bored as hell!
No game shall ever be used in the same sentence with Superman from N64. No it's not right
it looks like one of those games that's fun for about 10 minutes then it gets boring
this looks like a driving game with "collisions" I won't buy this crap! this is not a tony hawk, they sould've call it: snakeboard blitz!
whats with how he pronounces Edinburgh? E-din-burrow.. tard
seems like a larger controller with more to grip would be a lot more comfortable..
Well the wee seems overatted
#16 Its not overrated... the PS3 just sux that's all.
