Back in September, Tony Key, marketing VP of Ubisoft, announced that they are bringing the fourth installment in the Splinter Cell series onto the Wii. Details of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent came in trickles since then. For the Wii version, players will still control Sam Fisher in a mission to infiltrate the terrorist group, John Brown's Army.

In order to infiltrate the JBA, Sam is sent to Ellsworth Prison by staging multiple bank robberies and a mock body count. He was thrown in the same cell as JBA member wherein Sam must work his way in gaining the enemy's trust. Sam must use real tactics employed by today's real-life double agents to sabotage the terrorists' plans. Every decision of the player affects the outcome of the game and the hero will have to undergo extreme situations to achieve his goal.

But you know all that by now. What's interesting is the little bit of info posted on the IGN game page detail for Splinter Cell: Double Agent. It says: "Number of Players: 1-2". Could this mean that we'll be playing Co-op Mode? Or just a VS multiplayer mode? Or perhaps both? We'll find out soon enough.
