THQ Chief predicts PS3 and Xbox 360 may still give Wii a run for its money |

If you were to ask THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell what he thinks about the console wars, he'd tell you that the Nintendo Wii hasn't exactly won the battle yet. The reason, according to him, is that Sony's PS3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 can still keep things interesting - especially once the price cuts come in.
Farrell made his predictions during the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference, where he said that different consoles will each hit their strides at different times. While the Wii may have accelerated early on in the race, Farrell believes that the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will play catch-up later on:
The way we're thinking about this cycle from a high level is, the Wii at that lower price-point had a lot of momentum early in the cycle, but as Sony and Microsoft come down the price curve those two should accelerate, and there's a lot of firepower left in their arsenal.
It seems, however, that the one who will ultimately benefit from such an occurrence will be THQ itself. Farrell also said that THQ is "expecting a lengthy, lucrative hardware cycle as the cheaper consoles make it more of an even fight." That certainly gives THQ something to cheer about.

be nice now. a 360 fanboy could just as easily come here and say "360? Yes. PS3? No." I say.... PS3? possibly. 360? possibly. who knows, let's wait n see :-)
the 360 has already come down in price to that of a wii, the ps3 hasnt.
The XBOX and PS3 are already doing much better in everything but system sales. That's why the Wii's sales won't last.

Are you saying both the PS3 and XBOX 360 don't have better/more games, better online capabilities, much better graphics, much better sound, more functions (especially the PS3,) hard drive storage, much better third party support and factory support for new features? It's not fanboyism. It's stating the obvious. Some things Wii-tards just don't understand.
All three systems have great games,sound,online,graphics. it looks like the only wii-tard around here is you. but i don't expect a microsoft forum whore too know that.
