The Wiimote Bares It All

Some people might actually consider this porn, but well, we'll leave that for you to decide. We'll also leave it for you to decide whether this pic is Photoshop'd or if it's the real deal. It was taken from the German magazine N-Zone. It shows the Wiimote opened up without the batteries placed in it.

Wii-gasm!

Well, for the more speculative folks out there, this picture (whether it's rwiieal or fake) doesn't really show much. It's the back of the Wiimote, with the battery latch open, showing green chips and stuff. Big whoop. But of course, this is quite exciting, even just for the fact that it's another picture of the Wiimote. How could we resist?! We're all intrigued by how the Wiimote actually works, and a picture like this is really such a tease...

Well, just think aloud and send in your comments. We know you have something to say. But whatever the case, let's just hope that, if this picture is any indication, the Wiimote is coming along quite nicely in production, despite rumors.

» BATTERIES!?!?!

Yah it was a disapointment to me too when i first heard of it. Nintendo claimed that it would bring the price tag up more for rechargable battreys and cradels for them. With the price cut down and NINTENDO estamating the system would be cheaper then expected dont know why they wouldnt look into it.

Tho safe to say Nintendo will be releasing a new controller and chargers, If they wont of course there will be third party remotes (madkatz)

that is very disappointing, AA batteries, thatll make em heavy and cost alot and you have to look out for batteries dieing and if you cant find any, you dont play that really sux, i hope its an old pic or something, the wii needs rechargeable batteries.

» Batteries? no batteries who cares.

Ive had my GC since day one, ive had a Wavebird since they were released, ive changed the batteries in them maybe 4 times. With im sure over 200 hours of play on one set. Yes rechargable would be cool but if ya need it that bad, by rechargable batteries and a charger.

I could see nintendo marketing a 4 slot charger. Course they would make it sleek and standing up kinda like a Portable Phone charger with 4 slots sure they could fit one in.. even if the batt size isnt like 20h per. more then likley people would put it on the charger when not in use.

» please.

1. unless your some weak ass retard.. 2 AA batterys will NOT weight it down that much. if anything it gives the presumably Extreemly light wiimote a proper weight balance

2. Anyone that uses Alkaline batterys in any modern item should be SHOT. Goto Best buy.. spend $26 on a NIMH Rechargable Battery 4 pack with charger. not only will it last tons longer then your standard batterys.. but when it goes bad you recharge them.

personally id RATHER use AAs then have to pay for a specific battery which would me harder to find.

remember you can always walk into most stores for a pack of AAs... you cant do that with a specialized battery.

and Wavebird didnt have its own special battery.. and they lasted a LONG time.

also what happens if your special charger breaks? how much do you think nintendo will charge you for that?

Dont consider it a bad thing that nintendo took this route (if its not a rumor)

Dam thats sexy!

anyway guys just use rechargeable AA's! there so cheap!

» remeber

the wave bird batteries lasted long because it didn't have the rumble feature in it. the wiimote does so if you do get batteries rechargable. i dont really care about battery thing i want my wii.

» battery life

i think ninty said that the battery life was supposed to be at least 30 hours with all features activated, 60 without...should be fine. don't remeber where i saw it tho.

» Wwwhhat.....Batteries

I cant believe there sticking with batteries. I thought that they might have used a I-on battery or whatever. The playstation 3's controller will be using rechargable batteries, X-box 360 I think uses rechargable batteries. Why couldnt Wii use them? why god why? =( - - -

» Batteries

The problem is no rechargeable batteries. That will spark some debates. If it does use normal batteries, then Nintendo probably shot themselves in the foot.

THe thing with rechargable AA batteries. They DO NOT last longer then normal batteries. After every use (recharge) they slowly degrade. Same goes for any battery that is recharged. So yes even if it was a battrey pack that you just plug in would eventually loose its pizzaz.. not as fast as AA tho.
