The Wii Flap "Secret" Revealed |

Apparently, the small flap on the Wii is indeed for SD cards, not a slot where you can plug in DS games, or enable you to see holograms and all those other conspiracies that circulated about the petite flap. It seems that a Game Informer interview with Reggie Fils-Aime, President and Chief Operating Officer for Nintendo North America, confirmed that the little flap would accomodate SD Cards. Here is an excerpt of the interview:Game Informer (GI): What is the little door on the front of the unit?
Fils-Aime: That is where an SD card goes. ThatÂ’s storable media. And on top, are the attachments for the GameCube controllers.
GI: So will SD cards be the primary storage medium?
Fils-Aime: It will be one of the memory mediums, and itÂ’s the only one that weÂ’ve announced.
The answer just lead to more questions if you ask me. Mr. Fils-Aime said that SD cards will be one of the memory mediums, so how about the other memory mediums? We earlier reported that the Wii would allegedly support third party storage devices. With that, feel free to share your speculations and suggestions through your comments.
