The Wii Bowling Video

The thumbs down received by Wii Sports from third party developers is not discouraging Nintendo in anyway. Instead, the company took the comments with a grain of salt and came up with another offering for their sports bundle: the Wii Bowling gameplay video.

Like the Wii Boxing video we shared earlier this week, this one also shows how the Wii controllers are being utilized during gameplays. Aside from the two already mentioned, other sports included in the bundle are golf, tennis and baseball.

The Wii Sports bundle ships with the console this November. Nintendo continues to believe that this is a rather good strategy for them as consumers get to try Wii immediately.

Pretty sweet. At first I thought it kinda sucked, but when the pro got up he proved the game works perfectly. The first guy playing just sucked, lol. He didn't seem to listen to the guy when he said to stop treating it like a video game.

stupid you, if a sport game wants to be fun, it MUST be realistic, I mean, I won't play a bowling game where the ball doesn't move the way I trow it!! you can add fun stuff like weird alleys and special stuff, BUT you HAVE to get the rolling right!!!!! you HAVE to feel it right, like you were playing for real! that's the point of playing with the wiimote you idiot!!

ps: the game doesn't look good at all, fun the 1st time, but after half the video I was somwwhat bored to wath it, I mean, if we play two player I'll watch my friend play half the time right? anyway, at least suppose it's free cause the wii sports is free

For a sports game to be fun it has to be realistic, Senjutsu? Whatever your personal opinions on it may be, the Tony Hawk series is a top-seller and it's not realistic in terms of physics. Sure, there are people who complain about that, but the sales suggest that those people are a minority.

I'm actually starting to grow fond of the Miis becuase of the unrealistic look to them but they still manage to look like people (Samuel L. Jackson). In terms of graphics I think that they are fine, Wii Sports is obviously not a title that is showing top notch graphics and Nintendo has done a good job showing this. I am, however, a little concerned with the physics of the game.

Wii Sports is just a demo for people who don't play videogames or want to just get people ready for what's in store later.

The graphics are intentionally low quality. They want to focus on gameplay. You think they won't be making an MLB, PGA and PBA games for the Wii later? The game is FREE with the Wii and only around forty bucks in Japan.

I don't know about you, but if I'm trying to get my parents to play a game, they aren't going to sit there for forty-five minutes for the game to load up with all the flashy graphics and special effects. I think the cartoonish looks are perfect for people who don't play videogames to get into them.

Once they're hooked, reel em in with the other games.
