Core Gamer's Wii Blaster - Image 1

Forget pistols and magnums. If there's any real way to make sure that you're packing heat, you want to be the one carrying the shotgun in your crew.

It seems the saying holds true as well for third-party gun peripherals. There's a new contender to the gun craze sweeping the Wiimote-enabled masses, and it looks more like a pump-action shotgun than a piddly old peashooter. It's called the Wii Blaster, and contrary to rumors of it being an official Nintendo device, it's being developed by Core Gamer, another third-party manufacturer of controller peripherals and assorted gear.

According to GameStop's website, Core Gamer's Wii Blaster will ship on June 26, costing eager gamers 20 bucks. Our only question though is, if you want to really treat it like a pump action shotgun from the movies, what's gonna keep the Wiimote from flying off?

It looks pretty stupid. Maybe they should find a way to make that pistol one work.
