The Wii Best Buy Display

Countdown

The folks at Gaygamer decided to drop into a Best Buy to see if they have a PS3 on display. They didn't find a PS3 display, but they did manage to get a good look at the Wii display. So here's the pics they took.

The size of the Wii is always a sight to behold. The thing is just so darned small, and cute to boot. What's we find particularly disturbing about the booth is the launch countdown clock. It has the feel of a doomsday clock to it, only it's surrounded by baby blue and white instead of spooky glossy black. It's like a new year countdown clock that spent way too much time in Luigi's vacuum cleaner.

Enjoy the pics!

I should have taken some Wii pics for yall... I got to play excite truck yesterday because the Ninty reps finally brought controllers to the local kiosks... For anyone interested, i didn't get to play red steel or any anticipated titles but I did play Excite Truck. The wiimote is MUCH smaller than it appears, really, it's tiny. I've never wanted to steal something so badly in my life. The controls are sharp, and sensitive. I was so worried, i almost didn't want to play it, but the controls were remarkably good. I hope that trend continues with other games...After feeling its response I'm excited about MP3: corruption... Btw, excite truck is UGLY looking, the controls however...are... the best way to describe is to say it feels EXACTLY like playing an arcade racer. Exactly. Which, i guess, is good. -MS
