With Guitar Hero: Aerosmith getting a go signal, some people have been wondering what other band could possibly follow suit. Walking down Abbey Road, cue in The Beatles - soon enough, they just might get their own release for Guitar Hero, Rock Band, or both.

The Financial Times reports of talks being held by The Beatles' representatives with both Activision and MTV Games for respective proposals for a Guitar Hero and Rock Band release. If signed, the deal could be worth several millions. If you think about it, given the popularity of both franchises on the PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, and PC, scoring this deal might be well worth that sum of money.

The only problem now is if Apple Corps (the business outfit handling The Beatles) will give it the green light. Aside from that, there's also EMI Records, the people who own the master recordings of the band's songs. But how much of a possibility will it be for both corporations to nod in agreement to license The Beatles' music to the video game publishers?

Well, there's that bit about American Idol - see, it took quite a while for the show's producers to score rights to perform the band's songs. Also, Apple's in a bit of a spat with getting some Beatles music on the iTunes Store. Saying that the companies owning rights to The Beatles' songs are a bit slow on the uptake might be an understatement for some.

Despite all this, when The Beatles finally landed in the most recent American Idol season (Oooh, remember American Idol's Guitar Hero ads?), interest for the band's songs has been refueled. With that in mind, chances of finally closing the deal with Rock Band and Guitar Hero are that much more possible now than before.

And that perv is staring Chapter 11 dead in the face. Hell yeah, he would license the music for a few more $1 mil+ shopping sprees he's notorious for.
