Team Twiizers promises to release BootMii, explains what it's all about

BootMii is entirely software-based - Image 1Team Twiizers once again made the Wiibrew community jump for joy a few days ago when they released a video of BootMii, a new software-based method of hijacking the Wii's boot-up process.

At their HackMii blog the group's Marcan explains what BootMii is all about. It's a long discourse, but basically it comes down to this:

The first thing that you need to realize is that BootMii isnÂ’t a single application or hack - itÂ’s a platform for hacks.

Unlike PatchMii, which only served to bypass restrictions of IOS, BootMii is a platform that serves as an alternative to the Wii's own system. This allows users to have "full control of the console [...] and you'll have the ability to do anything at that point." After that, "the sky's the limit." You can read the full explanation of the BootMii process after the source link.

Now for those who are asking whether Team Twiizers will release BootMii, the answer is "yes." Says Marcan: "Oh, and donÂ’t worry, weÂ’ll release BootMii-Core when itÂ’s ready. No need to pester us for the release date."

so this basically boots a kind of homebrew os instead of the wii's operating system.

allowing us to use the wii's full potential in any homebrew method we want.

this is great news for devs and hb fans alike.

with this the wii's is finally cracked wide open!

can i get a random hell yeah!!

Yup, that's pretty much it. I posted the link to Marcan's "letter" in another BootMii article yesterday as someone believed that this didn't do anything more then SaveMii.

"i said it would near enough replace savemii, and therefore it would do more"

1. "Near enough replace" is about the most incorrect form of English I've read on this site in quit some time.

2. No, you did not say that. You said:

"i take it their hands are becoming a bit sore, and hence bootmii instead of savemii"

As myself and other people have already told you, BootMii does not replace SaveMii.

I'm not sure if it's your ignorance that keeps you from understanding this, or the fact that you are just plain stupid.

BootMii would have to be installed FIRST in order to "save" a Wii. SaveMii can "save" any Wii regardless of it's installed software.

For the THIRD DAMN TIME... APPLES AND ORANGES!!!!

"why cant you read, seriously you always interpret things wrongly"

HAHAHA!!!!! That's hilarious coming from you!!!

"anyway i dont even think you posted any link"

Oh really? Interesting. How about you get off your fat ass and go do some reading. In fact, that's what I told you before. I guess you not only fail at this, but you also failed at that!!!

"but that comment about bootmii having to be installed first is a fair enough comment"

Gee, do ya think? Moron!

"but it doesnt change the matter, bootmii will near enough replace savemii"

OMG! You are such a DOLT. Also, not many people are going to want to ALTER the system software on their Wii. So once again, SaveMii will continue to have a strong position. SaveMii is 100% plug'n'play.

"you always get the wrong end of the stick "

Yeah, that's it. Meanwhile I'll keep making you look like the damn fool that you are.

You see, that's funny because that is EXACTLY what YOU are doing.

You know, every time you post one of these, at least 4 people tell you to STFU. I guess you're dumber then my most unintelligent chocolate lab. At least she LEARNS.
