Target onlineIt's the first day after Christmas, but who says the parties need to be over? If you'll head on to Target online, you'll see that it's just about to get rolling, in fact. Starting at 7:00 a.m., December 26 to 30, you might want to check some cool deals on games for your freshly unwrapped Christmas next-gen consoles gifts.

We heard some titles will be sold for around US$ 39, so we thought we should share it with you guys. For the Wii, you can grab the blockbuster title Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As early as now, Chicken Little: Ace in Action as well as Wii Shrek Smash 'N Crash already carries that tag. For the Xbox 360, Gears of War is in the list.

The other titles you can grab at this bargain are Final Fantasy XII, Tony Hawk's Project 8 as well as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

All Zelda fans e-mail Nintendo and ask them to re-release The legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess with Voice Work.

» Beware: CDR Slugs in Tony Hawk 8 for PS3

A quick alert: I just took Target up on the 39.00 sale for the PS3 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8. Upon getting it home and unwrapping the box, the disk was upside down in the clasp. Upon turning it over, it was a Ridata 52x CDR blank! Yes, I know this sounds like a joke. I am 38yrs old (yes, I still play video games), and this is NOT a prank. Never in countless numbers of CD's, DVD's, games (including 7 other PS3 games), have I ever encountered this. Needless to say, I am on my way next to Activision's site to tell them they better get their Warehouse supervisors in action! --As for Target, they graciously exchanged the disk (not without some looks, of course), and it would have been smooth were it not for the cashier fudging the return and causing extra receipts (I'll have to check my CC statements to make sure I didn't get an accidental double-charge). MY ADVICE: open the disc right there at the Electronics counter, once you've purchased it, especially if you're paying cash!

» WTF!!

A CD-R???? Aren't games DVD or no... Blu-ray??!?!?!

Wow Ive never heard that before... a CD-R as a PS3 game... dude don't return it... sue them, and get some money man!

» Returned already

CBMaster, yes: a CDR 'slug' in a factory-wrapped Blu-Ray case. In any event, Target did return it (I wasn't going to waste time in doing so; as I figured that the longer I wait the worse it would be). As for suing Activision, that would probably be hard to prove. I have just sent their support a 'nastygram'. Hopefully, they will look into their distribution system. I'd hate to see a young kid spending his hard-earned cash and try returning the slug. I'll let you know what Activision's response is. The reference # the website gave me said they respond in approx. 1 day.

» That sort of happened to me.

When I bought Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GC and I opended the box, there was nothing there but a manual. It took a couple of minutes but I managed to return it and get a real copy of the game.
