Another opportunity to walk down memory lane and don those rose-tinted glasses presents itself in this ESRB ratings update for the Virtual Console. Super Turrican and Super Turrican 2 have just been added to the list of impending VC titles for the Nintendo Wii. For the uninitiated, Super Turrican is a side-scroller way ahead of its time: it combined Metroid's levels that were hugely explorable with secret rooms and passageways (as well as the Morph Ball ability) and Psycho-Nics Oscar's graphics design and weaponry.
The premise of the game is simple: run through the labyrinthine levels, shooting stuff as you go, and in its time, it was a good lot of fun. No doubt the case will be the same here, for your daily recommended dose of retro-gaming action.
Big thanks to Factor 5 for giving the Wii love, and here's hoping for more retro goodness!
