Super Smash Bros. Brawl's WiFi mode - With Friends and With Anyone - Image 1The Smash Bros. DOJO! website has just been updated and with it came the most anticipated news for upcoming video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl - how players can access the title's WiFi connection during online battles.

Two modes are allowed, one with your friends and another with anyone in the whole wide world. However, take note that your connection is affected by the distance between you and your opponent. If you're living in North America, for example, you can technically challenge someone from Japan.

But there's a possibility that the game will lag resulting to Wii brawls not running smoothly. Regarding the With Friends mode, Wii friends who have registered one another's names can play together freely. Perks in this mode include checking each other's status, sending short taunt messages before brawls, and other fighting modes aside from free-for-all.

On the other hand, With Anyone mode in Wii's Super Smash Bros. Brawl will not let you and your opponent share any private information as well as send private messages to each other. Battles in this mode will not be saved so it doesn't really matter if you win or lose. A practice match (with a sandbag) is activated while waiting for your opponent.

The official DOJO! site also said that following interesting statement, "We're planning a number of services that make use of WiFi, but we'll reveal them gradually with the other modes".

» I knew it......

..but im more relaxed that theyve confirmed it. not only that, but there would be other wi-fi capabilities.........all those months of waiting is gonna pay off. What doesnt make sense is how you want to make friends but you cant because theres no communication (unlike 360). Now i really doubt there would be a headset. Best update to date
