Smash Bros. DOJO, the official website for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, has announced that they will be shutting down the service for user-generated content uploads, specifically snapshots, stage designs, adn replay data, beginning on June 30, 2009. No reason was given out as to why they will be discontinuing the said service.

What was said, however, was that although Nintendo won't be accepting UGC uploads, they will continue to distribute those snapshots, stage designs, and replay data that makes it aboard before the June 30 shutdown. And don't worry, this should not, in any way, affect the multiplayer matches played via WiFi.

Thanks for the pisspoor game generated twords casual players (I'm looking at you tripping, smashball, and golden hammer), and then shutting down all support only a year after it's released.

» Nothing to do with the exploit.

This announcement was made like a week before the exploit was found.
