If you thought that the Pikmin series will only be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as part of the collectible stickers, think again. As the official Smash Bros. DOJO! website has revealed, these quirky characters are very playable. The Pikmin series is indeed special as it was developed by Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto himself.
All titles in the franchise were released exclusively on the GameCube console. Anyway, here's what the DOJO! has to say about the franchise's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Brawl:
Goodness! Captain Olimar joins the fray with five colors of Pikmin in tow! He plucks Pikmin from the ground and they fight as his allies. Without Pikmin, Olimar canÂ’t even do a Smash Attack. And the short-lived Pikmin tend to scatter. Theirs is a fated symbiotic relationship.
