Here's the latest installment of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl update, and this time let's welcome Diddy Kong for his inclusion into the group of playable characters in the game! Not to be outdone by Donkey Kong, this small monkey's a force to be reckoned with, especially when he's armed and ready with his Rocketbarrel Boost and Peanut Pop Gun.
He must have quite an impressive moves list. So impressive, not even the screenshots taken by the Smash Bros. official website could even capture the way Diddy moves!

It's about time someone else from the Donkey Kong series arrived. It sorta seemed to me that everybody had a character (at some point) from their own series as well. There are plenty of Mario characters, and sure, Donkey Kong is considered as an enemy of Mario, but he's made a name for himself that people often forget about that fact. Snake, Mr. Game & Watch, Ness, Pit, Ice Climbers, and Captain Falcon are the only ones that don't have a second player in the game (the two ice climbers are counted as one character), and some of them haven't even been confirmed to be in Brawl. Mr. Game & Watch, Pit, and Ice Climbers seem to always be alone considering there really aren't any other people that could play in the game (I've never played Kid Icarus so I don't know any bosses that would seem cool to be a playable character, and the Ice Climbers have bears....that doesn't seem cool enough). Ness, Snake, and Captain Falcon still have a chance.

I agree that it is about time that another character from the Donkey Kong series got in on the action. However, I don't think that all of the characters in Brawl should have another character from their game. Mr. Game + Watch and the Ice Climbers won't, mainly because they don't really have anyone else in their games. The new characters Pit and Snake probably won't, just because no one wants to be overwhelmed with new characters from a new game all of a sudden. But if there was going to be another character from Kid Icarus in the game, it would probably be the Eggplant Wizard, an enemy that turned Pit into an eggplant. Samurai Goro would seem to be a logical choice for Captain Falcon, but he has already been announced as an Assist Trophy. The most possible character from Earthbound would probably be Isaac, who was oringinally supposed to replace Ness in Melee, but the project that Nintendo had been working on with him as the main character was cancelled.
I knew he was going to be in the game but i guess they are saving the gasp characters probably around november. He probably moves erasically (very fast) and agile. My theory is that the characters who didn't have anyone one from their series in smash games will have at least one or two (like cpt. falcon). who knows.......we just have to wait and see....... BRAWL ON
I agree totally with the Diddy Kong adition to the roster. But, about Ness he was suposed to be replaced by Lucas not Isaac. Isaac is from the Golden Sun made by Camelot. In the other hand Isaac and Lucas would make a fine adition to brawl aswell.
you have a point that they need other people from their own games but i dont think the ice climbers will even make it to the second one cuz they were not very popular and mr game and watch probably wont either samus didnt have anyone for her in the game but i heard they are going to include ridley in this one so it should be ok and since snake is a new character i doubt we will see any of his others in there
I remember in the SNES donkey kong 1, I would always be diddy because donkey was slow and too big for the animals. Diddy is so much cooler.
They made a good decision in putting Donkey Kong's partner in crime in the game. What would put it over the top would be to eventually put Dixie Kong into the mix.
Yeah, I meant Lucas. But Isaac would make a good addition, too.
omfg go away with dixie, she sucks major black d i cks i mean in my opinion its horrible to have so many characters from the mario franchise ( i seriously await baby bowser daysie and waluigi) there should be just truly remarkable chars so forget about dixie and wait for her in ur dreams or donkey kong wii
