Countdown sites have become common, I mean GTA IV did it, The Simpsons did it, and now Super Smash Bros. Brawl has jumped on the bandwagon. This game on the Nintendo Wii is said to be one of the most anticipated games on the said platform.
As of this article's writing there are 6 more days (Japan time) before the game gets released. So what's all the hullabaloo about? Well, if your idea of fun is watching your favorite Nintendo characters going at it in a free-for-all battle then this is the game for you. They've got Pikachu, Samus Aran, Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and even Kirby as playable characters. There's a little something for everyone, even grandma.
If you're the type that actually follows these things, you can head to the site via our read link and check it out. If I were a rabid fan of this game, I'd consider leaving the computer on and just leaving it in the background so I can occasionally peek at it and smile. But then that's just me.

ma if it is coming out in a week how come there hasnt been anything released from nintendo?????? Id say the 8 looking thing means 68 more days...but why whould they not have it in the same format as 6? hmmmm.... but still too good to be true.... they need an american timer now! FRIG!

Um...we all know that Sakurai is directing the game, right? I heard rumors that his newly formed company, called "Sora", is "developing" SSBB...but....I noticed something....look at the bottom of the website( Smashbros.com) do you see what I see..... copyright 2007 Nintendo/HAL Laboratary, Inc. Now call me crazy but....that "Hal Lab" was never there....get my drift?

funny coz i got all excited after reading the article. but after a closer look at the site i was disappointed.

It clearly says "site launches" in ENGLISH. This wasn't QJ misinterpreting Japanese; it was QJ misreporting English.
but it also says "oopun made ato" in japanese, which means "[days] left until opening"

Erm...dude, you might want to look up the original Smash Bros. You'll find that Hal has ALWAYS been in on Smash Bros! Dur! Christ....Smash Bros without Hal is ludicrous.
Actually, Sakurai developed the first Super Smash Bros., but left Hal and created his own company called Sora. Nintendo asked him to develop Brawl, but I'm not sure if he decided to or not.
i seriously thought the game was going to be released in 6 days......... then ilook and its the frieken site...that sucks
The site does launch soon and i on the official nintendo site it says to expect something good, also i heard that the developer said they would add ridley,bowser jr, and cel shaded link. Maybe the new launch will include these characters along with new videos !!
I can't believe that there are still people who think that that Ridley, Bowser Jr., Celda Link nonsense is real news. That rumor has been around since June of last year and has been refuted ever since. Sakurai never said anything of that nature on any radio show.
This stuff was obtained by 1up.com and i guess they might be wrong but it doesn't hurt to wish because ridley would be a great addition to it along with bowser jr. Only time will tell if these rumors are true can't wait the for site to open tomorrow ~
i'd wish they'd bring out some better games for the wii than this simple trash, well ok it aint that bad but if this meant to be the highlight off the wii's game line-up well.... nintendo are gonna loose buisness i say gta iv for wii and the new nfs
