Super Smash Bros Brawl compatible with all Wii controllers |
Ó
Ever wonder what controls will be implemented in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Well, another update on the official website, Super Smash DOJO has revealed what controllers are compatible with the upcoming video game from Nintendo. As you can see in the image on the right, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will have full use of the Wiimote, the Wiimote and Nunchuk, the classic controller, and the GameCube controller. So it really boils down to a matter of preference. You want the rumble? Use a GameCube controller. You want "immersive" controls? Try the Wiimote and Nunchuk combination. Whichever one you choose is bound to get you immersed in the game.
We wonder how the Wiimote controls work. Anyway, news as they happen, so stay glued.

wii will be known as Gamecube Rev 2.
I like it, but it just seems like this update made it more of an updated SSBM and not a new Smash Bros.
GameCube controller is my choice and I think that everyone who has played SSBM extensively will choose it over the rest.
Classic controller, I'll give it a try but for some reason I don't think it will fit for Smash Bros, never really used it before but it just seems like a less comfortable Gamecube controller.
Wiimote Sideways would be cool, I like using it like that, but with no joystick, I can't see how that is going to be better than the rest. =/
Wiimote and Nunchuck is going to be good and for the people who want a change in gameplay styles, they will choose this first. I'm just wondering how are you going to smash? Will you flick the nunchuck or something? That'll be fun the first few times but I can't see smooth gameplay coming from it.
why the ***** would you choose the gc controller? i will be using the classic controller ... its so awesome
GC controller!?!?!?!?! OH YEAH!!
FTW!!!!!!
AMEN.
I'm sure most hardcore gamers will use the Classic Controller.
I was toying with it last night without having it plugged in and I found it very easy to pull off any button combo people told me unlike with the gamecube controller where i would sometimes miss the x or y button which will no doubt be used for attacks this time around rather than jumping.
I don't see myself using the sideways method unless I feel I need to. It seems to be a way of letting people play it that for whatever reason don't have a nunchuck.
as far as the Standard control (Wiimote + nunchuck) I don't know. I'll take a look at it and will probably use it when playing with family members but any online battling will be done with the classic controller. I don't want to take any risks with the motion sensing.
Finally some solid confirmation! Woohoo!
After reading the article of TINGLE, and reading this article...... now i'm sure that they're goin' to make a GC version of SSBB.
Why wouldn't you, I'm so used to playing with why try to force myself to change when in theory the buttons will be mapped the same and characters will have same or similar attacks. Why change something I'm comfortable with. It's the same for most people at smashboards too.
Shows you two are *****ing idiot fan boys.
i like that they are allowing all the different types of controllers, it gives people like me who have one wii controller a classic controller and i have 2 gc controllers so i dont need to buy more wii controllers to play it, nintendo are offering a variety for their buyers, which is a good thing.
-_- old news...
lool, haha..NO
ur mum will be known as revision 2, shes 2nd best to a pornstar. Tell her i want my fkin money back, coz seriously, a thorn bush is more satisfying then her
If the wii is so *****, then y is it kicking ps3s ass? If the wii is so *****, how come it is catching up with 360 sales? what took 360 about 2 years, wii is doing in about 1 year.
I H8 R£T@RD sony/360 F@NB0YS
yep, news like this only comes once every so often. I tend to savour these moments in a fasion that is most...odd. . .
*goes to the toilet*
Ill be using all of them since i have 2 wiimotes a classic controller, and two gc contollers. TIME FOR SOME KIK A$$ MULTIPLAYER!
why do sony/360 fanboys even bother commenting on nintendo articles, the internet must be full of bellends
plus i think its great that there can be different controller options especially if youve only got 1 classic controller n tons or gamecube ones like me ^___^
Very nice. GC controllers are the best controllers made by nintendo (except of wii-remote with nunchuck of course). With them you can play almost every-game published by nintendo. I like this idea to put GC controllers in SSBB.
awesome news. ill probably use all four controllers. all we need now is a confirmed release date.
does anybody think they know when it comes out
how come the game super smash bros. brawl is not competible with gamecube i bet it will make much more money cuz people aint ganna buy a wii that costs like 200 dollars just for a game and if brawl would be competible with gamecube more people will buy the game!!
