Super Mario Galaxy: Luigi spotted in demo video

If you recall, the official Wii website for Super Mario Galaxy stated that the game is meant for two players but no further details of it has been explored, and so far Luigi has been a no-show... until now. In a demonstration video of the game, Luigi makes a short four second appearance.

Of course it has to be noted that the video doesn't show anyone playing Luigi so we can come up with two theories: (1) You can't play Mario and Luigi at the same time and the two-player option is probably taken in turns or (2) Luigi's just making a cameo appearance. After all, even the Official Nintendo Magazine didn't say anything about a playable Luigi.

If you watch the video, you'll see Luigi doubled up in what is either fear, worry, or heartburn from eating too many mushrooms. He's either waiting for his turn until his brother Mario shows up or he's a part of the stage's goals. Either way, Luigi is in the game. It stands to reason that he's controllable, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation before we get our hopes up.

ok dude, you REALLY need to research the info given out for Galaxy so far...

The game is not 2 player...as in alternating, etc. I hate it when crap ass gaming news media makes up rumors and gets information wrong and then everyone takes it for truth. The "2 player" aspect of Mario Galaxy is as follows: A second player, such as a parent or friend, will hold their own Wiimote in their hand and "help" the other player. They can interact with things (like shooting big rocks or things that may harm mario) and they can collect things as well to help P1. So it's not really a 2Player alternating co-op experience that everyone wants, i.e. P1 = Mario and P2 = Luigi. It's good to see Luigi is in it, but i highly doubt he's gonna be playable.
